To rename a channel, log in to your Cam2drive account, access “My Channel”, select the device corresponding to the channel you wish to modify, click on ‘Edit’ to the right of the channel, modify the name, then save the changes by clicking on “Save”.

To add a new device, go to “My Devices” via the left-hand menu, click on “Add Device”, enter the required information (name, manufacturer, location), then click on “Save”. Then configure the device via the DVR/NVR interface, following the documentation supplied.

To change your password, log in to your account and click on “Change password” in the bottom left-hand corner. Enter your current password, enter and confirm the new password, then click on “Change password”.

**Tip: Use a strong password (letters, numbers and special characters) to ensure the security of your account.

Go to “My Channels” in the left-hand menu, select the device associated with the channel concerned, click on ‘Edit’, then activate or deactivate the “Cloud Record Activated” option. Click on “Save” to confirm your changes.

In “My Channels”, select the device linked to the desired channel, click on ‘Edit’, then enable or disable the “AI Activated” option. Click on “Save” to apply the changes.

Go to “My Devices” via the menu on the left, select the camera concerned, and check the details displayed on the right. If “Cloud recording activated” or “AI activated” is indicated, this means that the corresponding licenses are active. Alerts such as “AI subscription is activated” or “Records are activated in the Cloud” also confirm these statuses.

Go to “PlayBack” in the left-hand menu, select the desired date and time, use the filters to refine your search (by device, channel or event), then click on “Play” to start playback.

Yes, you can download recordings. Go to the “Recording” section, select the desired event or recording, then click on the download icon (down arrow) at bottom right. The file will be downloaded to your device in a compatible format.

To view recordings, go to “PlayBack” via the left-hand menu, choose the date and time, use the filters to refine your search, then click on “Play” to start playback.

When storage space reaches its maximum capacity, the system automatically deletes the oldest records according to the FIFO (First In, First Out) principle. This frees up space for new records.

In the “Users & Roles” section, select the user concerned, assign a new role (Admin, Technician, or Viewer), then click “Save” to validate the changes. You can also customize the access rights for each role, or create new ones as required.

To log out, go to the “Account” section in the left-hand menu, select “Logout”, and you'll be redirected to the login page.

To manage sites, go to “My Sites” in the left-hand menu.

To add a site, click on “Add Site”, enter the information (name, address, time zone), then click on “Save”.

To modify a site, select it from the list, click on “Edit”, update the information, then click on “Save”.

To delete a site, select it and click on “Delete”.

cam2drive is compatible with all browsers, but we recommend Google Chrome for the best experience.

Note: If you are experiencing video playback problems even with a compatible browser, this may be due to hardware limitations on your machine.

No, a static IP address is not required to use Cam2Drive. Our cloud solutions are designed to work without the need for a static IP address, offering a simplified and accessible experience for the majority of users.

Cam2Drive is compatible with H.265 and H.264 compressed video, regardless of the compression method used.

Cam2Drive does not support all audio codecs. If your camera uses an unsupported codec, , audio will not function in the app. To resolve this, reconfigure your camera’s audio settings to use AAC, the supported codec for Cam2Drive.
